Bread Pudding

Old fashioned

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1 apple peeled
  • 1 Tbls butter
  • 1 + 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinimim
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 6 cups bread cubes using stale semi dry old bread

Instructions

  • Preheat oven 375°
  • Pour 3/4 cup of boiling water over raisins ,let sit 15 minutes. Then pour off water.
  • Dice apple into small pieces and cook in butter until tender. In a large bowl beat together milk, cream, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon + sugar. Toss in bread , raisins and apples. Let sit 10 minutes , flipping around 2 or 3 times during this period . Pour bread mixture into an oven dish and bake on middle shelf of oven 45 to 60 minutes or until semi firm and slightly brown. Serve warm . Yumm
