Turkey Chili

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbls olive oil
  • 1 Lbs ground turkey
  • 1 Large onion medium dice
  • 2 Tbls tomato paste
  • 1 + 1/2 Tbls chipotle in adobo
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 4 oz. diced green chili
  • 1 – 15 oz. can diced tomatoes
  • 1 Lbs can beans of your choice
  • 1 + 1/2 cups water
  • 2 Tbls corn meal mixed with 1/3 cup water

Instructions

  • In a large pot heat the oil. Add turkey cook slowly, stirring to break up the meat , about 10 minutes or until all liquid is gone. Add onion, cook another 10 minute, add tomato paste stir 2 minutes. Add remaining ingredients except corn meal. Bring to a boil , reduce to a simmer, cook 10 minutes. Now add cornmeal and cook another 10 minutes. That should do it.
