Broccolini with Ginger + Garlic
Super easy, Delicious, + Healthy - My New favorite Veggie
Ingredients
- 8 ounce Broccolini also called baby Broccoli
- 1 Tbls olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves smashed + chopped
- 2 tsp fresh ginger grated
- 2 tsp lemon zest grated
- S + P
Instructions
- Cut your broccolini into 1 to 2 inch pieces. Keeping the thick stems separate from the tops. *Blanch the broccolini in salted boiling water, starting with the thick stems. Cook them for only about a minute then add the tops. As soon as the water returns to a boil remove both and plunge them into ice cold water to stop cooking process. Drain. Heat oil in a small frying pan , add ginger and garlic sauté 30 seconds, add broccolini and stir around until heated through. Season w/ salt and pepper and top off with your lemon zest. What could be easier ?*Blanch is to par cook food in salted boiling water.
