Mixed Berry Cobbler

Ingredients
  

  • Biscuit Topping
  • 1 cup flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ Tbls Baking powder
  • ½ Tbls sugar
  • 2 Tbls cold butter cut into small pieces
  • ½ heavy cream + 1 Tbls
  • The filling
  • 4 cups berries - blueberries raspberries , strawberries, blackberries
  • ½ lemon zest and juice
  • cup of sugar
  • 1 Tbls corn starch

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl mix together all your filling ingredients. Pour into baking dish.(Deep dish pie plate or something of similar size)
  • Preheat oven 400°
  • In another bowl whisk together your flour, salt, baking powder and sugar. Add your butter , squashing with your fingers until all pieces disappear and it becomes like course corn meal. Drizzle in 1/2 cup heavy cream mixing just until dough comes together. Remove to a lightly floured board. Pat or roll out dough to about 1/3 in thick or slightly smaller than the dish you will use to bake cobbler.. Cut dough into 3/4 inch squares. Place squares on top of filling , brush with a little heavy cream. Bake 30 minutes
